Marcia Ann (Weber) Rosenthal

Marcia Ann (Weber) Rosenthal, 73, passed away peacefully at her home on April 12, 2026.

She was born July 25, 1952, in Springfield, Illinois, a daughter to the late Ivan and Claire Mae (Prose) Weber.

Marcia graduated from Morrisonville Community High School in 1970. She married Wayne A. Rosenthal on February 12, 1972, at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Morrisonville, IL. Over the years, Marcia worked at Fiat Allis, the IL. Dept. of Corrections - Juvenile Division, and Top Drawer by Sarah Adele in Taylorville. Her true passion, however, was helping others. Marcia was a friend to all. Whether it was a ride to an appointment, running an errand, or just lending a helping hand, she was quick to help anyone who needed it. During the course of her volunteer years, Marcia could be found at the Christian County Medical Clinic in Morrisonville, helping with events/dinners through the Legion Auxiliary, and advocating for the town as a Morrisonville Village Board Trustee. Marcia also dedicated 38 years to the Morrisonville Community Ambulance Service as an EMT-B. During those years she held various board member positions, including President. Her proudest moment on the service was when she received her stork pin for helping bring a new life into the world. She is the only one to hold this achievement. Marcia sat on the Christian/Shelby County 911 board for many years. Marcia devoted time to the church as well, singing in the choir and advocating for the children of St. Maurice Catholic School as a board member. She enjoyed being involved with her kids and grandkids’ school activities and sporting events, often helping with concessions, the PMRA, Little Shoppers and much more. When Marcia wasn’t helping others, she enjoyed sewing. She learned to be a seamstress by working alongside her mother and used those skills for many area residents. She came to the rescue for alterations on daily clothes, special event dresses, and even wedding attire. When time allowed Marcia liked to travel. If asked, Marcia would tell you her greatest blessing was the beautiful family she and Wayne created. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was her all-time favorite pastime.

Marcia is survived by her husband, Wayne of Morrisonville; three sons Dustin (Brooke) Rosenthal of Morrisonville, Sean (Sarah) Rosenthal of Rochester, and Casey (Kelsey) Rosenthal of Waggoner; grandchildren, Harper and Gavin Rosenthal, Kinley, Kadence, Reese and Rylie Rosenthal, and Bentley Rosenthal. She was excited for the arrival of another grandson, Hudson expected to arrive in May. She was survived as well by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

In addition to her parents, Marcia was preceded in death by her sister Arlene Kay Montgomery.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Maurice Catholic Church in Morrisonville on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Florent Kanga will preside. The visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the KC Hall in Morrisonville, located at 607 Fuller St., Morrisonville, IL 62546. Judith Moses

Judith Kay Moses passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and quiet strength. Born on December 22, 1939, Judy lived a life defined not by grand displays, but by the steady, faithful kindness she offered to everyone she met. She was truly a kind soul—one who was deeply cherished and will always be remembered.

Judy had a heart that naturally cared for others. Her compassion extended to all, whether family, friends, or strangers in need, and she possessed a warmth that made people feel instantly welcome. She had a special love for animals, forming a unique bond with every pet she welcomed into her life and over the years she cared for many cats, dogs, horses, chickens, and peacocks.

A devoted member of her church for many years, Judy found strength, fellowship, and joy through her faith. She gave of herself selflessly, serving others with humility and grace, and living her beliefs through quiet acts of service rather than words alone.

Judy enjoyed being a farm wife all her life. She found a wealth of happiness in the simple beauty of the outdoors, especially while tending to her garden. Judy was fond of a variety of flowers, but she took a particular liking to her iris garden. These irises held deep sentimental value as they were passed down from her mother. She looked forward to their beautiful blooms each year and lovingly shared them with her own daughter.

While farm life brought her great joy, Judy also enjoyed her career at the Sangamon Card Company. She dedicated many years as a machine operator before happily retiring.

Judy married Jack Kendle in 1958, and together they had three children before parting ways. In 1979, she married James (Randy) Kooms and they later divorced. In 1996, she wed Norman Moses, who preceded her in death after they shared many wonderful and devoted years together. From these unions came the children who were her greatest pride and joy.

Family was the center of Judy’s world. She cherished every moment spent together and took immense pride in each generation of her growing family. Among her greatest joys was hosting family gatherings, especially the cookouts at the farm, where multiple generations came together, laughter filled the air, and cherished memories were made.

Her love was steadfast, unconditional, and enduring.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Norman Moses; her son, Michael Douglas Kendle; her sister, Geraldine (John) Basham; her parents, Russell and Ona Henney, her nephew, Dick Basham; and her niece, Colette Herrmann.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Christina (Brent) Becker; Russ (Wendy) Kendle; Pam Moses; Brian Moses; Anita Clark; Tammy Ginger; Crystal Kooms; daughter-in-law: Sherri Kendle; grandchildren: Sydney (Curtis) Yount; Casey Kendle; Colin Kendle; Jared Becker; Tiffany Cherry; Jeremy (Desiree) Becker; Sarah (Tim) Wilks; Brad (Danielle) Kendle; Juleea Walker; Kirk (Stephanie) Kendle; Taylor (Jake) Bartletti; Lane Hutchens; Brent (Lexie) Frump; Tyler Frump (Justin Ledford); great-grandchildren: Palmer Yount; Mia (Zak) Kalka; Brady Patton; Austin Cherry; Taylor Cherry; Avery Cherry; Benjamin Becker; Hollyn Becker; Edith Becker; Oria Becker; Calla Becker; Devon Wilks; Kendle Wilks; Reagan Walker; Griffin Walker; Adalise Kendle and Gracelyn Kendle; one great-great-grandchild: Grady Bartletti; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.

Judy leaves behind a loving family who will carry her memory in their hearts forever. Her warmth, generosity, and soft, quiet laugh will be deeply missed, but her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.

Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and she will be dearly missed.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Community of Christ Church in Taylorville, IL. A funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Lori McLung officiating, and burial will follow at Mound Chapel Cemetery in Owaneco.
